Why is there a wait time to apply to jobs

Teachers who actively invest points in ranking boosts receive earlier access to relevant jobs.

TutorMove does not use subscription plans. In this early-access system, premium points are the points currently committed to active rank boosts for matching subject listings.

Why did we do it the way we did?

A teacher who boosts a relevant subject listing is showing active marketplace commitment. Earlier access rewards that commitment while still opening every job to all eligible teachers.

Teachers are not placed into fixed paid tiers. Their priority is calculated from their active premium points, so a stronger active boost receives earlier access than a smaller one.

Access opens gradually over a maximum period of two hours according to each matching teacher's active premium points.

The maximum delay between the highest-priority matching teacher and general access is two hours. This gives boosted teachers an edge without causing excessive delay for the student.

Here's how early access works

1. Find teachers with an approved, published listing matching the job's subject.
2. Total each matching teacher's points in currently active rank boosts.
3. The teacher with the highest active premium points receives first access.
4. Other matching teachers receive gradual access according to their active premium points.
5. After two hours, the job is available to all otherwise eligible teachers.
